Aitelier runs on pay-as-you-go billing with a prepaid wallet. You top up, the platform meters every call and bills the outcome. No monthly minimum, no seat counts, no plans to choose between.
This page covers the mechanics. For prices, see the pricing page.
The free trial
Every new tenant starts on a free trial: 14 days and up to 200 conversations, no card required. Test calls from the dashboard and the mobile app do not count against the trial. When the trial ends — by date or by volume — the platform pauses billable traffic until you top up the wallet.
The wallet
Every tenant has one wallet. You top it up; the platform draws from it as you use the service.
- Top up from $5 — preset buttons ($25 / $50 / $100 / $250) plus custom amounts. Payment via Stripe — cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay all work.
- No expiry — the balance does not vanish. If you pause for a quarter and come back, your balance is still there.
- Refundable — unused balance is refundable for 6 months after your last activity. Open a ticket; we send it back to the original payment method.
- Auto top-up (optional) — set a low-balance threshold and an auto-top-up amount. When your balance crosses the threshold, the platform charges your saved card off-session. Three consecutive failures disable auto top-up and notify you.
What you are charged for
Per-call outcome charges
Every completed call resolves to one of three outcomes, and you are charged a flat rate per outcome on the tier you selected for that scenario.
- Success — the agent reached the goal you configured (booking made, lead qualified, etc.)
- Real conversation — a genuine exchange happened (30 seconds or more) but no goal landed
- Spam / silent — sub-30-second drops and no-engagement calls
The rates per tier (Economy / Standard / Premium / Enterprise) are on the pricing page. On Standard, a typical inbound booking call costs $2.40 if it succeeds, $1.60 if a real conversation happened without booking, $0.25 if it was spam.
Enterprise is more than a model stack: it pins OpenAI gpt-realtime for lowest latency and OpenAI voice characteristics, and includes enterprise-level support and an SLA. Contact sales@aitelier.org to activate the support package and receive the SLA terms.
Overage minutes apply only when a scenario raises its duration cap above the default 5 minutes — and only beyond that 5-minute mark. Most scenarios stay under the cap; overage is rare.
Knowledge crawler charges
When the platform indexes a large website for your agent's knowledge base, crawls beyond 100 pages bill at $1.00 per crawler-hour, flat across tiers. Small crawls — most of them — are free.
Text chat charges
If your project handles web-widget or messenger conversations as well as voice, those meter input and output tokens — $0.50 per million input tokens, $1.50 per million output tokens. Token usage is aggregated into charge buckets; you see the resulting wallet debits in History, not a line per turn.
Channel charges (messengers, widgets, SMS)
Beyond voice outcomes, the wallet also debits channel usage:
- Messenger messages — per inbound and outbound text turn on WhatsApp, Telegram, Meta Messenger or Instagram DM
- Widget activity — per interactive element rendered, per user callback resolved, and per uploaded file
- SMS outbound — per accepted outbound SMS
Provider-side messaging fees (notably WhatsApp per-conversation pricing) pass through at cost when applicable. These appear alongside call charges in your wallet History.
Sandbox mode
For development, the platform supports a sandbox account mode in which every charge is simulated — the wallet does not actually move, and simulated entries are clearly marked in the billing history. Contact us if you want your tenant switched to sandbox for an integration project; most customers simply use the free trial.
Postpay (on request)
If your team prefers consolidated monthly billing over a prepaid wallet, switch to postpay:
- The platform accumulates the month's usage and settles it as one monthly invoice, charged to your saved card
- A credit limit is configured per tenant — calls block when you exceed it
- Same per-outcome pricing as prepaid; the invoice just consolidates the month
Contact billing@aitelier.org to enable.
Reading the bill
The tenant-level Billing tab shows:
- Overview — current balance, top-up buttons, auto top-up controls, your billing details (company name, VAT/Tax ID)
- Cards — saved payment methods
- History — every wallet movement (top-up, call charge, crawler, chat, channel events, adjustment)
- Invoices — top-up receipts (instant) and postpay invoices (monthly), PDF download for each
- Usage by channel — event counts grouped by channel (voice, messenger, web, SMS) across the tenant
Per-project usage lives on Project → Usage: event counts by type with a channel grouping (voice / messenger / web / sms / crawler). It surfaces event volumes; charge totals live in the wallet History.
What you do not see in the billing UI: provider names, raw costs, our margin. Those are platform-internal — your view is the customer-facing one.
Volume customers and agencies
If you run a multi-project deployment (an agency operating agents for many clients), you can request a tenant-specific rate card at a discount. The pricing page rate card is the default; volume customers get a custom one.
Contact sales@aitelier.org with rough monthly volume to get a quote.
Taxes and invoicing
All listed prices are in USD and exclusive of taxes. Provide your company details and VAT/Tax ID in the Billing tab — they appear on every invoice. Invoices are issued by our US entity; the full issuer details are printed on each invoice PDF and listed in the Terms.
Receipts and audit
Every top-up generates an instant receipt PDF you can download from the Invoices tab. Every postpay period generates a monthly invoice PDF when the month closes.
If you need a structured export of usage and charges for an audit, contact billing@aitelier.org — we provide a CSV for the period requested.
